Transferring a Chat

Open Transfers

Use the !transfer command to make a chat available to all other agents currently logged into chat. You can also include an optional message to provide some context about the chat.

For example, in the chat console you would type the following.

!transfer Is anyone in sales available to give this visitor a demo of our lead capture features?

Direct Transfers

Use the !transfer command, followed by a space and then @agent-name, to transfer the chat to a specific agent.

For example, in your chat console you would type:

!transfer @bob-admin Bob, this customer would like to follow up with you directly.

Note that the visitor does not see the command or any notes you enter. The chat is transferred when another agent responds to the customer.
